Leaving behind their carefree days at nursery, the children step into their new school with their innocent, beaming smiles. To help our Year 1 pupils swiftly adapt to primary school life and make a smooth transition into their new roles, our school has organised a series of activities as part of our ‘School Induction Week’. Covering everything from familiarising themselves with the environment and understanding the school culture to developing good habits and engaging in practical activities, these initiatives provide multi-faceted support to help the children open the door to their primary school journey.

Getting to Know the Campus: Embarking on Our Journey of Growth
一张张印着自己名字的专属登机牌，是小萌新踏入校园的第一份仪式感。校领导与老师们早早守候在校门口，张开怀抱迎接每一位孩子。大队部的哥哥姐姐们携手班主任，温柔陪伴，引导孩子们走进崭新的教室。
Personalised boarding passes bearing their own names were the first sense of ceremony for the little newcomers as they set foot on the school grounds. School leaders and teachers were waiting at the school gates from early on, opening their arms to welcome every child. The older pupils from the Brigade Committee, hand in hand with the class teachers, gently accompanied and guided the children into their brand-new classrooms.
校园里，小督导们分别驻守在缪斯剧院、中学部、小学部、协力馆、行政楼各个打卡站点。孩子们手持登机牌，穿梭在校园各处，一路走走逛逛，打卡探索。在温暖的问候与欢乐的集体留影之中，陌生与忐忑慢慢消散，心中满是对小学新生活的憧憬与向往。
Across the campus, the young marshals were stationed at various check-in points, including the Muse Theatre, the Secondary School, the Primary School, the Art&Sports Center and the Administration Building. Holding their boarding passes, the children made their way around the campus, strolling and exploring as they checked in at each station. Amidst warm greetings and joyful group photographs, their initial unfamiliarity and apprehension gradually faded, replaced by a sense of anticipation and excitement for their new life at primary school.

入学教育启动仪式如期开展。孩子们认真认识学校的全称、简称以及英文名称，细细聆听校歌、初识悠扬的旋律。在老师的讲解下，了解学校的育人理念，读懂校园传递的美好期许，心中埋下小小的志向，立志成长为向阳向上的新时代少年。在庄重又温暖的氛围里，孩子们真切感受浓厚的校园文化，体会来自老师、学长学姐满满的善意与关爱，一份独属于这里的校园归属感，在幼小的心田慢慢生根发芽。
The orientation ceremony took place as scheduled. The children carefully learnt the school’s full name, abbreviation and English name, and listened attentively to the school anthem, becoming acquainted with its melodious tune. Guided by their teachers, they learnt about the school’s educational philosophy and came to understand the wonderful aspirations embodied in the campus environment. A small seed of ambition was sown in their hearts, inspiring them to grow into optimistic and upward-looking young people of the new era. In a solemn yet warm atmosphere, the children genuinely experienced the rich campus culture and felt the abundance of kindness and care from their teachers and senior pupils; a sense of belonging unique to this school slowly took root and began to blossom in their young hearts.

Fun Activities to Bring Children Closer Together
在缪斯剧院，学生成长中心孟老师与音乐刘老师带领孩子们开展趣味口令学习与互动小游戏。朗朗上口的口令、活泼好玩的游戏轮番上演，充分调动起孩子们的参与热情。在 309 小剧场内，外教老师们则带领同学们进行内容复习与拓展体验。在轻松欢乐的游戏情境中，孩子们勇敢大胆表达自我，互相认识熟悉，慢慢打破初见时的拘谨，在阵阵欢声笑语里结识崭新的小伙伴，一步步融入温暖的班集体。
At the Muse Theatre, Ms. Meng from the Student Development Centre and Ms. Liu from the Music Department led the children in fun chant-based learning activities and interactive games. Catchy chants and lively, entertaining games took turns to captivate the children, fully engaging their enthusiasm. Meanwhile, in the 309 Small Theatre, the foreign teachers guided the pupils through a review of the material and extended learning experiences. In a relaxed and joyful atmosphere filled with games, the children expressed themselves boldly and confidently, getting to know one another and gradually overcoming the shyness of their first meeting. Amidst waves of laughter and cheer, they made new friends and, step by step, integrated into their warm and welcoming class community.
知礼明行，涵养文明品格
Understanding Etiquette and Acting with Propriety: Cultivating a Civilised Character
不学礼，无以立。校园交往礼仪课堂上，年级组长周老师围绕校园礼仪、课堂规则、剧院礼仪、用餐礼仪等内容细致讲解。孩子们学习礼貌问好、友好相处，懂得尊重同伴、友善待人，将文明礼仪内化于心，外化于一言一行。
Without learning etiquette, one cannot stand firm. During the lesson on etiquette in school interactions, Ms. Zhou, the year group leader, gave a detailed explanation covering topics such as school etiquette, classroom rules, theatre etiquette and dining etiquette. The children learnt how to greet others politely and get along harmoniously; they came to understand the importance of respecting their peers and treating others with kindness, internalising civilised manners and reflecting them in their every word and deed.
队列练习，锤炼良好风貌
Drill Practice: Cultivating a Positive Attitude
整齐的户外队列、路队训练有序开展。体育组老师们带领大家开展训练，从排路队、练站姿开始，孩子们一点点学会遵守秩序，磨炼意志，培养集体意识，展现少年蓬勃的精神面貌。
Outdoor formation drills and line-up training are being carried out in an orderly manner. Teachers from the Physical Education Department are leading the training, starting with practising forming lines and maintaining proper posture. Step by step, the children are learning to follow rules, strengthening their resolve, cultivating a sense of community, and demonstrating the vibrant spirit of youth.
实践砺能，学会独立自理
Hone Skills Through Practice; Learn to Look After Yourself Independently
内务整理小课堂、内务小剧场比拼火热进行。由刘老师带领大家在剧院开展学习，随后回到各班开展实操练习，最终在 309 小剧院开展精彩比拼。整理课桌、收纳物品，小萌新们动手实践，锻炼生活自理能力，在点滴小事中学会自立，收获成长本领。
The ‘Room Tidying Mini-Classes’ and ‘Room Tidying Mini-Theatre’ competitions are in full swing. Led by Ms. Liu, the students began their learning sessions in the theatre, before returning to their respective classes for practical exercises, culminating in a thrilling competition held in the 309 Mini-Theatre. From tidying their desks to organising their belongings, the new students put their skills into practice, honing their self-care abilities and learning to be independent through these small, everyday tasks, thereby gaining valuable life skills.
从忐忑不安到从容自信，从陌生拘谨到嬉笑相伴。适应教育周的点点滴滴，是一年级学子成长路上珍贵的起点。愿小小少年带着这份温暖与勇气，奔赴属于自己闪闪发光的小学时光。
From nervousness to composure and confidence, from shyness and reserve to laughter and camaraderie. Every little moment of the Orientation Week marks a precious starting point on the journey of growth for these P1 pupils. May these young children carry this warmth and courage with them as they embark on their own sparkling primary school years.
