我叫刘晨子夏，今天想借着这个机会，和大家分享我在协和的点滴成长。
My name is Cherry Liu, and today I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you some of the ways I’ve grown during my time at SUIS-HF.
当初妈妈为我选择协和，是看中了“融合中西，和谐发展”这八个字。他们不希望我只顾着埋头读书，更希望我成为一个眼里有光、心中有爱的孩子。现在回头看，这个选择真的做对了。
When my mother chose SUIS-HF for me, she was drawn to the eight words: ‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West’. They didn’t want me to spend all my time buried in my books; rather, they hoped I would grow into a child with a sparkle in my eyes and love in my heart. Looking back now, it really was the right choice.

我一直比较开朗，而在协和的课堂上，这份开朗被赋予了更积极的意义。我不再只是课堂上的气氛担当，更成了一个主动探索的“小先锋”。英语课上，我会主动发起小组讨论，用流利的英文和同学们分享自己对西方文化的见解；语文课上，我也会为了一个诗词意象和老师争得不亦乐乎。记得有一次为了完成老师布置的任务，我熬夜搜集资料。妈妈说，当她看到我眼睛里闪着光的样子，就知道那个爱说爱笑的小姑娘，已经成长为一个有思想、敢表达的学习者。这份发自内心的求知欲，比任何奖状都更让我珍惜。
I have always been quite cheerful, and in the classrooms at SUIS-HF, this cheerfulness has taken on a more positive significance. I am no longer merely the class clown; I have become a proactive ‘pioneer’ of learning. In English lessons, I take the initiative to lead group discussions, sharing my insights into Western culture with my classmates in fluent English; in Chinese lessons, I engage in lively debates with my teacher over the imagery in poetry. I recall one occasion when I stayed up late gathering materials to complete an assignment set by my teacher. My mother said that when she saw the sparkle in my eyes, she knew that the little girl who loved to talk and laugh had grown into a thoughtful learner who was not afraid to express herself. This inner thirst for knowledge is something I cherish far more than any certificate.
在学业之外，我的朗诵特长也在协和得到了充分的滋养。学校给了我很多登台的机会，从最初为了荣誉去参加比赛，到后来慢慢学会享受舞台，每一步都离不开老师的悉心指导。我会为了一句台词反复练习气息，为了一个眼神对着镜子琢磨半天，虽然累，却从不抱怨。这份坚持不仅让我收获了奖杯，更让我懂得了“热爱可抵岁月漫长”的道理。同时，我在英语和数学竞赛中也崭露头角，获得了“希望之星”英语演讲大赛特等奖，还连续两年拿到了国家级袋鼠数学竞赛的三等奖。这些成绩，都是我默默努力的结果。
Beyond my academic studies, my talent for recitation has also flourished at SUIS-HF. The school has provided me with numerous opportunities to perform on stage. From initially competing for the sake of honour to gradually learning to relish the stage, every step of the way has been made possible by my teachers’ dedicated guidance. I would practise my breathing repeatedly for a single line of dialogue and spend ages in front of the mirror perfecting a single glance; though it was tiring, I never complained. This perseverance has not only earned me trophies, but has also taught me the truth that ‘passion can make the long years fly by’. At the same time, I have made a name for myself in English and mathematics competitions, winning the Grand Prize in the ‘Star of Outlook Talent Competition’ and securing third prize in the national Kangaroo Mathematics Competition for two consecutive years. These achievements are the result of my quiet, steadfast efforts.
而最让我感动的，是在协和这个温暖的集体里，我学会了把自己的开朗和热情变成照亮他人的光。同学遇到困难时，我总会急着去帮忙，尽自己的一份力；小组合作时，我也努力做一个能鼓励别人的“小太阳”。当我变得越来越懂得分享和担当，我知道，这才是教育带给我最宝贵的东西。
What moved me most, however, was that within this warm community at SUIS-HF, I learnt to channel my cheerfulness and enthusiasm into a light that brightens others’ lives. Whenever a classmate faced difficulties, I would rush to help and do my bit; during group work, I strove to be a ‘little ray of sunshine’ who could encourage others. As I grew increasingly adept at sharing and taking responsibility, I realised that this is the most precious gift education has given me.
由衷感谢协和双语学校的每一位老师，是你们的用心陪伴和专业引导，让我成为了更好的自己。也感谢学校搭建的广阔平台，让每个孩子都能找到属于自己的光芒。未来，我会继续在这片充满爱的沃土上，笃定前行，绽放属于我的芳华。
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every teacher at SUIS-HF; it is thanks to your dedicated support and expert guidance that I have become a better version of myself. I am also grateful to the school for providing such a broad platform, enabling every child to discover their own unique brilliance. In the future, I shall continue to move forward with confidence on this fertile ground of love, and let my own brilliance shine.
SUIS HF in My Eyes 我/眼/中/的/合/肥/协/和
有人说，学校是一个学习知识的地方。但在我眼里，协和更像是一个让我慢慢认识自己、成为自己的家。
Some say that school is a place for learning. But to me, SUIS-HF feels more like a home where I can gradually get to know myself and become my true self.
还记得刚来协和的时候，我虽然性格开朗，但其实并不太清楚自己真正喜欢什么、擅长什么。是协和给了我足够多的机会去尝试、去发现。在朗诵社团里，我第一次感受到声音可以传递情感；在英语课上，我发现自己原来可以用另一种语言自信地表达；在数学竞赛中，我学会了享受解题时那种从困惑到豁然开朗的快乐。协和从不急着给我们贴标签，而是用一个个舞台、一次次挑战，帮我们找到属于自己的那束光。
I remember when I first arrived at SUIS-HF; although I was outgoing, I wasn’t really sure what I truly enjoyed or what I was good at. It was SUIS-HF that gave me plenty of opportunities to try things out and discover myself. In the recitation club, I experienced for the first time how a voice can convey emotion; in English lessons, I discovered that I could express myself confidently in another language; and in maths competitions, I learnt to relish the joy of moving from confusion to sudden clarity whilst solving problems. SUIS-HF never rushes to label us, but instead, through a series of platforms and challenges, helps us find our own unique light.
我眼中的协和，也是一个特别“有人情味”的地方。老师们不只在课堂上教我们知识，更会在课后耐心地听我们说话，记得我们每个人的小习惯、小爱好。当我为一句话的朗诵反复练习时，老师会陪着我一遍遍打磨；当我在比赛中紧张时，老师会给我一个鼓励的眼神。这里的老师，像是引路人，也像朋友，更像家人。
In my eyes, SUIS-HF is also a place that is particularly “humanized”. The teachers not only impart knowledge to us in class, but also patiently listen to us after class, remembering each of our little habits and hobbies. When I practiced reciting a sentence repeatedly, the teacher accompanied me to polish it over and over again; when I was nervous during a competition, the teacher gave me an encouraging look. The teachers here are like guides, friends, and even family.
协和还很巧妙地把“融合中西”变成了日常。我们在英语课上讨论西方文学，在语文课上吟诵古诗词；我们既庆祝感恩节，也过中秋节。这种融合不是生硬的拼凑，而是让我们在了解世界的同时，更懂得珍惜自己的文化根脉。我觉得，这大概是协和送给我们最珍贵的礼物——既有开阔的眼界，也有安定的归属感。
SUIS-HF has also cleverly integrated “East meets West” into daily life. We discuss Western literature in English class and recite ancient poetry in Chinese class; we celebrate both Thanksgiving and Mid-Autumn Festival. This integration is not a mere juxtaposition, but rather allows us to understand the world while also appreciating our own cultural roots. I believe this is perhaps the most precious gift SUIS-HF has given us – both broadening our horizons and fostering a sense of belonging.
当然，协和让我最珍惜的，还是在这里遇见的伙伴们。我们一起在课堂上争论，一起在课后排练，一起为彼此的成功喝彩，也在彼此失落时悄悄递上一张纸条。在这个温暖的集体里，我学会了分享，学会了担当，也学会了如何用自己的一点光，去照亮身边的人。
Of course, what I cherish most about SUIS-HF is the friends I met here. We argued together in class, rehearsed together after class, cheered for each other’s successes, and quietly passed a note to each other when we were down. In this warm community, I learned to share, to take responsibility, and to use my own light to illuminate those around me.
所以我眼中的协和，是一片有爱的沃土。她包容每一个孩子的不同，呵护每一个孩子的梦想。她让我相信，成长不是变成别人期待的样子，而是成为自己最好的模样。
So in my eyes, SUIS-HF is a fertile land filled with love. It embraces the differences of every child and nurtures their dreams. It makes me believe that growing up is not about becoming what others expect, but about becoming the best version of yourself.

Cherry Liu is a vivid explorer, her mind as lively as a clear spring, often able to trace the thread of a problem and discover novel solutions. In the classroom, her eyes always sparkle with pure curiosity and eagerness. When sharing her thoughts, she always imbues logic with a clear and unique beauty. This thirst for knowledge keeps her moving forward in the realm of mathematics and warms the hearts of her classmates. As a mathematics teacher, I admire this beautiful quality that combines intelligence, enthusiasm, and perseverance. I believe that she will surely use the key to thinking gifted by mathematics to confidently open every door in the future.

Cherry is the “child from another family” in the eyes of teachers, excelling in both academics and moral conduct, and ranking at the top of her class in all subjects. This young girl is graceful, confident, and composed, always presenting an excellent demeanor when standing on stage, with a warm and bright smile between her eyebrows. This excellence and beauty earn the sincere love and appreciation of every teacher.
