This summer, pupils from the Jiusi Squadron (P3B) at SUIS Hefei Campus embarked on two highly significant technology study tours, meticulously organised by the squadron’s parent committee and guardians. From experiencing cutting-edge artificial intelligence applications firsthand to immersing themselves in the allure of intelligent manufacturing within a modern automotive factory, each journey brimmed with wonder and discovery, infusing the children’s holidays with a rich technological flavour.

First Stop: iFLYTEK: Unlocking the Limitless Potential of Cutting-Edge AI Technologies
研学首站,孩子们走进了科大讯飞,开启 “AI 智慧之旅”。一进展厅,一个热情打招呼的虚拟机器人便吸引了所有人的目光。讲解员介绍,这些机器人参照讯飞员工模样设计,更神奇的是,只需几分钟,用一张照片就能制作出专属虚拟机器人,这一 “变身术” 瞬间点燃了孩子们的探索热情,大家纷纷想象着自己虚拟形象的模样。
The first stop on the educational tour took the children to iFLYTEK, where they embarked on an “AI Wisdom Journey”. Upon entering the exhibition hall, a warmly greeting virtual robot instantly captured everyone’s attention. The guide explained that these robots were modelled after iFLYTEK employees. More astonishingly, within minutes, a personalised virtual robot could be created from a single photograph. This ‘transformation magic’ instantly ignited the children’s curiosity, sparking lively imaginations about their own virtual avatars.
在后续参观中,AI 的实际应用让孩子们频频惊叹。将香蕉放进智能冰箱,冰箱会立刻 “开口” 提醒香蕉不适合冷藏并解释原因,还能精准识别食物存放天数、判断是否该丢弃;智慧黑板仿佛拥有 “超能力”,让知识变得生动有趣;AI 在医疗领域展现的辅助诊断能力,更让孩子们直观感受到科技对生活的巨大帮助。
During the subsequent tour, the practical applications of AI left the children in frequent awe. When a banana was placed in the smart refrigerator, it immediately ‘spoke up’ to advise that bananas are unsuitable for refrigeration and explained why. It could also accurately identify the number of days food had been stored and determine whether it should be discarded. The smart blackboard seemed to possess ‘superpowers,’ making knowledge vivid and engaging. The AI’s auxiliary diagnostic capabilities in the medical field gave the children a tangible sense of how technology profoundly aids daily life.
能听会说、具备语音识别与合成功能的 AI 系统,以及灵活可爱的跳舞机器狗,成为了全场焦点。机器狗不仅能随音乐起舞,还肩负工业使命 —— 当低矮管道出现故障、人类无法进入检查时,它会背着平板开启照相功能,将管道内部情况清晰投屏到大屏,快速定位故障点。看着机器狗灵活执行任务,孩子们眼中满是钦佩与向往,也在心中悄悄种下了科技的种子。
AI systems capable of listening and speaking, equipped with speech recognition and synthesis functions, alongside agile and endearing dancing robot dogs, became the centre of attention. Not only could the robotic dog dance to music, but it also carried out industrial tasks. When faults occurred in low-level pipes inaccessible to humans, it would carry a tablet to activate its camera function, projecting clear images of the pipe’s interior onto a large screen to swiftly pinpoint the fault location. Watching the robotic dog perform its tasks with such agility, the children’s eyes brimmed with admiration and aspiration, quietly planting the seeds of technological wonder within their hearts.

结束讯飞 AI 之旅后,九思中队的同学们又走进大众安徽 “小小汽车人” 暑期工厂探索营,零距离探秘现代化汽车的智能生产一线。在充满科技感的工厂环境中,孩子们跟随工作人员的指引,开启了工业科技探索之旅。
Following their AI journey with iFLYTEK, pupils from the Jiusi Squadron embarked on Volkswagen Anhui’s “Little Automobile Explorers” summer factory discovery programme, gaining first-hand insights into the intelligent production lines of modern automobiles. Within the technologically advanced factory environment, the children embarked on an industrial exploration journey guided by staff members.
车身车间里,1200 台机器人有条不紊地运转,其中能轻松举起两头牛的泰坦机器人、智能穿梭的 AGV 机器人,让孩子们忍不住直呼 “太酷了”;乘车前往总装车间后,大家又深入探究汽车组装过程 —— 炫酷的 “底盘装甲”、被称为 “结婚工位” 的关键环节、高效的 “六合一” 灌装工位,以及严格的车辆质检区,每一处都让孩子们好奇不已。
Within the body shop, 1,200 robots operate with meticulous precision. Among them, the Titan robot capable of effortlessly lifting two oxen and the intelligent AGV robots darting about left the children exclaiming, ‘That’s brilliant!’ After travelling to the final assembly workshop, the group delved deeper into the vehicle assembly process. Every stage sparked the children’s curiosity: the impressive ‘chassis armouring’ section, the critical ‘marriage station’ assembly point, the highly efficient ‘six-in-one’ filling station, and the rigorous vehicle quality inspection zone.

From a sheet of steel to a complete vehicle, from highly automated production lines to scenes of precise robotic collaboration, and on to the advanced manufacturing techniques and eco-conscious principles of new energy vehicles, the children gained the most direct insight into the intelligent and digital nature of modern industry. At the event, everyone actively engaged with engineers on topics such as smart technologies and environmentally friendly materials. Through these exchanges, their keen interest in science and technology was further ignited, sparking boundless imagination.
