Each class represents a journey of mutual growth for both teachers and students. The three teachers from the P1 English group have meticulously crafted their lessons, igniting students’ passion for learning. From classroom design to student feedback, and to the insightful comments from experts and school leaders, let’s delve into their daily teaching routine and witness this educational story brimming with warmth and depth.

 

 

钟老师希望英语课能像一场盛大的派对,让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中,不知不觉地汲取知识。她始终坚持寻找孩子们的兴趣点,让他们在欢乐中体验英语的魅力。在课前,学生们自发地唱起了准备已久的吟唱歌曲,整个班级井然有序,大家都迫不及待地等待英语课的开始。

Ms. Zhong hopes that English classes can be like a grand party, allowing students to absorb knowledge unconsciously in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. She always insists on finding the children’s interests and letting them experience the charm of English in joy. Before class, our students spontaneously sang a chant they had prepared for a long time. The entire class was in order, and everyone was eagerly waiting for the start of the English class.

 

 

钟老师通过生动的情境将大家带入一个奇妙的魔法世界,借由一条贯穿始终的故事线,引领学生们一起探索故事的精彩内容。孩子们仿佛身临其境,纷纷关注并思考主人公的情感变化,并用心去朗读。四位同学齐心协力,匹配故事中各个角色的对话,组织力、表达力得到培养,同时理顺了故事情节。

Ms. Zhong brought everyone into a wonderful magical world through vivid scenarios, and guided the students to explore the exciting content of the story through a storyline that runs throughout. Our children seemed to be immersed in the scene, paying close attention to and pondering the emotional changes of the protagonist, and reading with heart. Four students worked together to match the dialogues of various characters in the story, cultivating their organizational and expressive skills while clarifying the storyline.

最精彩的是角色扮演。孩子们激情满满,充分体现了语音语调的不同。随着英语话题的开启,孩子们化身为创意与思维的精灵。他们的小脸上洋溢着兴奋与专注,在奇幻天地中不断探索。

The most exciting part is role-playing. Our children are full of passion, fully demonstrating the differences in voice tone. As the English topic unfolds, the children transform into elves of creativity and thinking. Their little faces brim with excitement and focus, constantly exploring in the fantasy world.

 

 

吴老师巧妙设计了一个以抓捕海盗并描述其外貌特征为主题的情境,引导学生通过观察并使用新学的词汇与句型,积极描述周围人的外貌。课堂中,吴老师巧妙地将游戏与句型教学结合,设计了制作人物纸板的活动,并邀请学生上台亲自为这些纸板粘贴五官。

Ms. Wu cleverly designed a scenario centered around capturing pirates and describing their physical characteristics, guiding students to actively describe the appearance of the people around them by observing and using newly learned vocabulary and sentence patterns. During the class, Ms. Wu skillfully combined games with sentence pattern teaching, designed an activity of making character cardboard cutouts, and invited students to come up and personally paste facial features onto these cardboard cutouts.

 

 

通过这样的实践,学生们更直观地理解了面部特征,也激发了他们的学习热情。课堂氛围活跃,学生们纷纷用新学的词汇和句型进行造句,轻松愉快的课堂让英语学习变得如此有趣。

Through such practice, students gained a more intuitive understanding of facial features and their enthusiasm for learning was also ignited. The classroom atmosphere was lively, with students actively using the newly learned vocabulary and sentence patterns to construct sentences. The relaxed and enjoyable classroom made English learning so much fun.

 

 

张老师通过梳理整篇文本,结合课后的问题,引导学生建立起文章的整体框架,并通过思维导图帮助他们总结并复述故事。为了增加学生的参与感,张老师准备了生动形象的道具进行角色扮演,效果出奇地好,孩子们课堂上的表现非常积极。

By combing through the entire text and incorporating questions after class, Ms. Zhang guided students to establish the overall framework of the article. Additionally, she used mind maps to help them summarize and retell the story. To enhance students’ engagement, Ms. Zhang prepared vivid props for role-playing, which yielded surprisingly good results, and our children’s performance in class was very enthusiastic.

 

 

每一段教学活动的道具搭配使用,也帮助学生更好地理解文本,达到了读、看、回忆的三位一体学习效果。令人大为惊喜的是,孩子们已经能够在课后通过老师手中的教具,清晰地串联起整个故事的情节。

The use of props in each teaching activity also helps students better understand the text, achieving a three-in-one learning effect of reading, watching, and recalling. What is surprising is that children have been able to clearly connect the entire story’s plot through the teaching aids in the teacher’s hands after class.
