15岁的孩子，有迷茫、有困惑、有和父母之间的对抗与倔强……他们比任何时候都需要理解和支持的力量。为深入了解高一新生的学习和生活情况，协和高中部组织教师开展了家访活动，我们希冀以家访搭建起理解与信任的桥梁，令教育的温度穿透夏日的热浪，直抵学生和家长的心田，让共育之花在协和这片沃土上绽放得更加绚烂。Fifteen-year-olds were filled with confusion, perplexity, and a mix of defiance and stubbornness against their parents……They need understanding and support more than ever. To gain a deeper insight into the academic and living conditions of freshmen, the Upper School of SUIS, Hefei Campus organized teachers to conduct home visits. We hope that these visits will build bridges of understanding and trust, allowing the warmth of education to penetrate the summer heat and reach the hearts of students and parents alike, making the flowers of co-education bloom even more brilliantly on the fertile ground of SUIS, Hefei Campus.
Discussing studies,witnessing growth marks
家访中，老师秉持着真诚、求实的态度，从日常学习打卡、在家表现情况、电子产品使用情况等方面全面了解学生们的生活情况以及思想动态，与家长进行了深入沟通，共同探讨如何助力学生更好成长。通过访谈，老师了解到很多同学高效完成了暑假作业，坚持每日打卡，同时还分出时间专注于特定学科的学习；还有同学积极参加英语课程学习，钻研美术、手工、视频剪辑等，做到了学业与爱好两者兼顾。老师对这些学生的学习情况高度肯定，希望他们发挥榜样作用，鼓舞更多的同学积极追求进步，共创积极向上的学习氛围。
During home visits, teachers, with sincerity and a fact-finding attitude, comprehensively understand the students’ living situations and thought dynamics from aspects such as daily study check-ins, behavior at home, and electronic device usage. They have in-depth communications with parents, jointly exploring how to better aid students’ growth. Through interviews, teachers learned that many students efficiently completed their summer homework, persisted in daily check-ins, and also allocated time to focus on specific subjects; some students actively participated in English courses, delved into arts, crafts, video editing, etc., managing both academics and hobbies well. Teachers highly commend these students’ academic performance, hoping they can serve as role models to inspire more students to pursue progress actively and create a positive learning atmosphere together.

“成才先成人”，老师和家长们都坚信良好品德和健全人格是走向成功的关键。老师围绕学生的家庭情况、家庭教育参与度及教育期望等，详细探讨、深入分析，为家长和学生们提供专业的建议和指导。家长希望孩子在面对困难、挫折时不退缩，勇敢地迎接一切挑战，提升沟通能力和团队合作精神；在学业上勇攀高峰的同时，实现全方位发展，培养良好品德和优秀的人际交往能力。此次深入交流，让老师和家长们对 “成才先成人” 的理解更加透彻，为明晰学生成长路径、开展更贴合实际的教育教学工作筑牢了根基。
“To become talented, one must first become a good person.” Both teachers and parents firmly believe that good morals and sound personality are key to success. Teachers discuss in detail and analyze thoroughly around students’ family situations, parental involvement in education, and educational expectations, providing professional advice and guidance for parents and students. Parents hope their children will not shrink back when faced with difficulties or setbacks but bravely meet all challenges, enhancing communication skills and team spirit; while striving for academic excellence, they aim for holistic development, fostering good morals and excellent interpersonal skills. This deep exchange has deepened the understanding of “to become talented, one must first become a good person” among teachers and parents, laying a solid foundation for clarifying students’ growth paths and carrying out more practical educational work.
Planning for academics,illuminating the path to the future
没有规划的未来是拼图，有规划的未来是蓝图。家长都深知多元化教育的重要性，期望孩子在未来能够进入名校深造，在他们所热爱的领域发光发热。老师为家长和学生介绍了学校的生涯规划课程、社会实践机会及升学指导资源等，鼓励学生积极提升自我，为未来的挑战做好充分准备。针对不同的需求，老师悉心帮助学生们厘清优势和不足，给出合理的规划和建议，并期待他们进一步挖掘自身潜能，积极参加竞赛、课外拓展和学术社团等，提升专业素养和学术能力。相信在多方的共同努力下，孩子们的成才之路定会洒满阳光，书写精彩的人生篇章。
A future without planning is a puzzle; a future with planning is a blueprint. Parents are well aware of the importance of diverse education, hoping their children can further their studies in prestigious universities and shine in their fields of passion. Teachers introduce career planning courses, social practice opportunities, and college admission guidance resources to parents and students, encouraging students to actively improve themselves and be fully prepared for future challenges. Tailoring to different needs, teachers diligently help students clarify strengths and weaknesses, offering reasonable planning and advice, and look forward to them further exploring their potential by actively participating in competitions, extracurricular expansions, and academic clubs to enhance professional qualities and academic abilities. We believe that with the joint efforts of all parties, the path to success for our children will surely be filled with sunshine, writing splendid chapters of life.
