Leonardo da Vinci once said, ” Exercise is the source of all life.” Exercise makes people healthy, smart and happy. Sports not only change one’s physique, but also one’s character. 

学生社团 Student Club
学生社团是我校寄宿学院的重要组成部分。通过组织丰富多彩的学生社团活动，发展学生兴趣与特长，促进学生寄宿生活质量的提高，丰富寄宿学生放学以后的校园文化生活。学生社团以学生为主体，舍监负责监督并组织协调学生社团活动。在学生社团活动中，重在培养学生的领导能力，团队合作能力，关注学生与他人合作学习的能力，形成团队精神，培养学院学生自主管理的意识和领导能力，建立新型的师生关系。
Student clubs are an important part of our boarding house. Through the organisation of colourful student clubs, they develop students’ interests and strengths, promote the improvement of the quality of students’ boarding life, and enrich the campus cultural life of boarding students after school. Student clubs are student-based, and the Housemaster is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of student clubs. In the activities of student clubs, we focus on cultivating students’ leadership and teamwork abilities, caring about students’ ability to cooperate with others in learning, forming a team spirit, cultivating students’ sense of self-management and leadership ability, and establishing a new type of teacher-student relationship.
“学院杯”运动联赛“House Cup” Sports League

本学期学院一共开设了四个运动类社团，分别是篮球，足球，羽毛球和乒乓球，每周二和周四放学后由舍监和社长共同组织日常活动。从11月27日到30日，每天下午17点30分到18点20分，我校寄宿学院举办了第二届“寄宿学院杯”体育联赛，同学们跃跃欲试，期待见证学院之间的精彩对决。
This semester, the house has four sports clubs, namely basketball, football, badminton and table tennis, which are organised by the housemaster and the club president after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From 17.30pm to 18.20 pm of 27th to 30th in November, the second “House Cup” sports league was held by our boarding house . Students were eager to try out for the competition and were looking forward to witnessing the exciting matches among the houses.
赛场之上，勇者无惧！
On the field of play, the brave have no fear!
在篮球比赛中，每支参赛队伍都汇聚了学院的“英雄豪杰”，场上的每一位队员努力拼搏，每一次成功的上篮、每一个完美的三分球都引起了观众们的欢呼和赞叹；场下的同学们为自己学院的球员呐喊助威，用热情的掌声和欢呼声为球员们加油鼓劲。大家的聚精会神，让比赛更加精彩，这种团结一心的氛围，也让比赛更有意义。无论是球员还是观众，都在这场比赛中感受到了运动的魅力与团结的力量。
In the basketball game, each team gathered the house’s “heroes and heroines”, every player on the court worked hard, every successful layup, every perfect three-point shot caused the audience to cheer and marvel; off-court students for their own house players shouting and cheering, with enthusiastic applause and cheers for the players! The concentration of everyone made the game more exciting, and the atmosphere of unity and solidarity also made the game more meaningful. Both players and spectators felt the charm of sports and the power of unity in this game.

 

在羽毛球比赛中，场上队员你追我赶，奋勇争先，羽毛球在场地上空往返穿梭，选手们激情四射、活力十足。比赛过程高潮迭起，精彩频现，喝彩声、欢呼声此起彼伏，整个赛场呈现热火朝天的景象。队员们通过比赛既锻炼了身体，又加深了友谊，使每个学院的凝聚力得到极大地提升。
In the badminton game, the players on the field chased each other, and strived to be the first, badminton in the field over the shuttle back and forth, the players were passionate, full of vitality. Climax of the game process, wonderful often, cheers one after another, the whole field presents a hot scene. The players not only exercised their bodies, but also deepened their friendship through the game, which greatly enhanced the cohesion of each house.

 

乒乓球比赛比的是技巧、战术、心理，但更多的是促进交流，增强感情。在这次比赛中，各个学院都涌现出了技艺高超的选手，可谓是卧虎藏龙，让我们欣赏了一场龙争虎斗的好戏。一个个回合的精彩对决，无不点燃着观众的热情，白色的小球牵动着人心，现场掌声、喝彩声不断。选手们以高昂的斗志、高超的球技，点燃了全场的激情，赢得场外观众热烈喝彩。
Table tennis competition is about skills, tactics and psychology, but more than that, it is about promoting communication and strengthening relationship. In this tournament, all houses have emerged players with high skills, which can be described as crouching tigers and hidden dragons, allowing us to enjoy a good show of dragon fighting and tigers fighting. A round of exciting duel, all ignited the enthusiasm of the audience, the white ball touches the heart, applause and cheers continued. Players with high fighting spirit, superb ball skills, ignited the passion of the whole field, won the audience warm applause.

 

荣誉时刻 Awarding Ceremony
恭喜红龙学院最终荣获本次“学院杯”运动联赛的总冠军！同时也恭喜白虎学院获得总积分亚军。在学院集会上，由舍监为获奖学生颁发了奖状和奖品，副校长张杰为冠军学院颁发了奖杯，让我们为所有参赛选手的精彩表现和荣誉时刻欢呼鼓掌，共同期待下一次的精彩！
Congratulations to Red Dragon House for winning the champion of House Cup Sports League! Also, congratulations to White Tiger House for being the runner-up in the total number of points. At the house assembly, the housemaster awarded certificates and prizes to the winning students, Vice Principal Ms. Nina Zhang awarded the trophies to the champion house, let’s cheer and applaud all the participants for their wonderful performance and honourable moments, and look forward to the next wonderful time together! 

主席有话说 Words from Head of House

 

第一次担任红龙学院的领袖，我非常荣幸，但同时也深感责任的巨大。在这次比赛中我们学院赢得了冠军，我会坚守作为领袖的职责，带领红龙学院将辉煌延续。
It is a great honour for me to be the Head of the Red Dragon House for the first time, but at the same time I feel the great responsibility. Our house won the championship in this tournament, and I will stick to my duties as leader and lead Red Dragon House to continue its glory.

 

本次运动联赛不仅展现了同学们的运动实力，也增强了各个学院的拼搏精神和团队意识。生命因运动而精彩，青春因运动而闪光。祝愿每一个孩子都能关注身体健康，坚持体育锻炼，不做“脆皮学生”，健康快乐成长！
This sports league not only showed the athletic strength of our students, but also enhanced the fighting spirit and team consciousness of each house. Life is wonderful because of sports, and youth glitters because of sports. We wish every child can pay attention to their health, insist on physical exercise, not be a “weak student”, and grow up healthily and happily!
