Introduction to “Boarding House Programme”
合肥协和双语学校寄宿学院管理制是在英式寄宿制基础上的本土优化，寄宿学院以舍监为核心跟踪学生的学业成长，多人参与管理和支持，致力于为学生打造一个5×24全天全时、处处皆是成长机会的学习社区。为学生提供一所选择多元化，符合学生志趣和成长的需求，凸显双语言、双文化有潜能的校园环境。在过去近一年半的实践中，学校目前已经形成以舍监为核心，宿管老师和晚自习教师配合提供给学生教学以外的寄宿学院管理模式，为学生提供了全方位人文的关怀，学生的自我管理能力，社会交际实践能力以及个人兴趣培养得到了很大的提升。
SUIS Hefei’s Boarding House Programme is a local optimization based on the British boarding system. The Boarding House uses the housemaster as the core to track the academic growth of the students, and multiple people are involved in the management and support of the programme, which is committed to creating a 5×24 learning community where students have the opportunity to grow in every aspect. It provides students with a campus environment that offers a wide range of choices, meets the needs of students’ aspirations and growth, and highlights the potential of bilingualism and biculturalism. In the past nearly one and a half years of practice, the school has now formed a housemaster as the core, the dormitory teacher and evening self-study teachers with the cooperation of the Boarding House management mode to provide students outside the teaching and learning, to provide a full range of humanistic care for the students, the students’ self-management ability, social communication and practical skills and personal interests of the cultivation of a great deal of enhancement.

本学期寄宿学院共有五个学院：狮学院、红龙学院、青龙学院、黑龙学院和白虎学院。男女生和年级打乱以混合的形式来分院，营造的是哈利波特里霍格沃滋学院的氛围，每一个学院都有相应的舍监和学生主席，大家共同完成新学期的各种活动与挑战。
In this semester, there are five houses in the Boarding House: the Lion House, the Red Dragon House, the Blue Dragon House, the Black Dragon House and the White Tiger House. Boys, girls and grades are disrupted to divide the houses in a mixed format, creating the atmosphere of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts College, with each house having a corresponding housemaster and student president, all working together to complete the various activities and challenges of the new semester.

Housekeeping Competition
首届“寄宿学院杯”内务比赛在我校体育馆拉开帷幕。为了进一步增强寄宿学院学生自理、自立意识，提高学生内务整理能力，养成良好的生活习惯，学会生活；同时增强学生的合作意识和集体荣誉感，打造一个温馨和谐的寄宿环境，寄宿学院的舍监们精心策划了这次比赛。本次比赛共分为两个部分：现场组（叠被子叠衣服比赛）和内务组（宿舍整理比赛）。
The first ” Boarding House Cup” Housekeeping Competition was held in the gymnasium of the school. In order to further enhance the awareness of self-care and self-reliance of the students of the Boarding House, improve their housekeeping ability, develop good living habits and learn to live; at the same time, to enhance the students’ sense of cooperation and collective honour, and to create a warm and harmonious boarding environment, the wardens of the Boarding House carefully planned this competition. The competition was divided into two parts: live group (quilt folding and clothes folding competition) and housekeeping group (dormitory tidying competition).
11月1日下午17点30分，现场组比赛正式开始，一共有20位选手参加，每个学院选出4位同学参赛。比赛前由我校后勤主管殷从龙老师为同学们亲自示范叠被子。随着舍监吴翔老师的一声令下，选手们迅速进入比赛状态，展现内务整理技巧，仔细折叠，整齐摆放，精益求精！每一个动作都有板有眼，每一个步骤都尽善尽美，尽力呈现出自己劳动的“精品”，学院的学生们大声为自己学院的选手加油助威。评委老师们也为参赛选手进行严格评分，仔细检阅劳动“质量”，同学们的出色表现赢得了评委们的肯定。
On the afternoon of November 1st at 17:30, the live group competition officially began, with a total of 20 contestants participating. Each house selected 4 students to participate. Before the competition, our school’s general affairs support supervisor, Mr. Dragon Yin, personally demonstrated the folding of quilt for the students. With the order of the housemaster, Mr. Derek Wu, the contestants quickly entered the competition state, demonstrating their housekeeping skills, carefully folding, neatly arranging, and striving for excellence! Every action is organized and meticulous, every step is perfect, and every effort is made to present the “boutique” of one’s labor. The students of the house loudly cheer for the athletes of their house. The judges also strictly rated the contestants and carefully reviewed the “quality” of labor. The outstanding performance of the students won the recognition of the judges.
在宿舍整理比赛中，评委们走进同学们的宿舍，跟随两位宿管老师细致地检查宿舍卫生情况并对照评分表对床铺整理、物品摆放、洗漱台整洁、鞋架有序摆放等不同项目进行评分。最后评出个人奖现场组一等奖两名、二等奖四名、三等奖六名，优秀宿舍一等奖两名、二等奖三名、三等奖五名；学院奖（现场组分数+内务组分数）；学院奖一等奖奖励30个学院币；二等奖奖励20个学院币；三等奖奖励10个学院币。
In the dormitory tidying competition, the judges walked into the students’ dormitories and followed two dormitory teachers to carefully inspect the hygiene situation of the dormitories. They compared the scoring table to rate different items such as bed cleaning, item placement, cleanliness of the washstand, and orderly placement of shoe racks. Finally, two first prizes, four second prizes, and six third prizes were selected for the individual award from live group. Two first prizes, three second prizes, and five third prizes were also selected for the excellent dormitory; House Award live group score plus housekeeping group score); 30 house points will be awarded as the first prize of the House Award; The second prize rewards 20 house points; The third prize rewards 10 house points.

比赛结束后进行了颁奖仪式。在颁奖仪式的现场，评选出了本次比赛获得最高分数的狮学院，并获得了免费吃披萨的机会，在这次活动中他们证明了自己的实力、团结和坚持。最后，首届学院杯内务比赛在同学们的欢呼中圆满结束，期待下一次学院杯活动更加精彩。
After the competition, an award ceremony was held. At the award ceremony, the Lion House with the highest score in the competition was selected, and they were given the opportunity to eat pizza for free. In this event, they demonstrated their strength, unity, and perseverance. Finally, the first ” Boarding House Cup” Housekeeping Competition was successfully concluded with cheers from classmates, and we look forward to the next Boarding House Cup event being even more exciting.
在本次活动过程中，学校结合同学们的生活实际，把劳动教育和宿舍生活相结合，“劳”以润行 ，“育”以润德，让同学们在劳动教育中健康快乐成长！
