携一缕秋风，赴一场教育之约。最美的声音，是家校同频的回响；最好的教育，是家校共育的互动。为促进家校联系，构建家校共育的桥梁，充分发挥家委会对学校教育工作的积极作用，合力促进学生成长，2023年10月17日下午，我校2023学年第一学期校家委会会议在一号会议室举行。学校领导班子成员，上一届校级家委会成员以及本届新当选的家委会成员共同参加了本次会议。

With a wisp of autumn wind, it is a date of education. The most beautiful sound is the echo of home and school on the same frequency; the best education is the interaction of home-school co-education. In order to promote home-school contact, build a bridge for home-school co-education, play a positive role of the Parent Support Group (PSG) in the school’s educational work, and make concerted efforts to promote the growth of students, on the afternoon of Oct.17th, 2023, the meeting of the School PSG this semester was held in Conference Room I. The meeting was attended by members of the school leadership team, members of the previous school-level PSG and the newly elected members of the current PSG.

Review the Past & Look into the Future

 

会议伊始，副校长张杰代表学校对家委会成员们的到来表示欢迎，并感谢家委会对学校工作的大力支持。随后，她介绍了学校过去一年中在家校共育工作方面所做的探索和努力。家委是家校关系的黏合剂和学校发展的催化剂，期待新一届家委会能一如既往做好家校协同育人工作，及时反映家长心声，为家校共建共育积极献言献策，为推进学校各项工作作出新的贡献。

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Principal Ms. Nina Zhang welcomed the members of the PSG and appreciated the PSG for their strong support to the work of the school. She then introduced the exploration and efforts made by the school in the past year in the field of home-school co-parenting. The Family Committee is the glue of the family school relationship and the catalyst for the development of the school. We expect the new PSG team to do a good job of home-school collaborative education as always, reflect the aspirations of parents in a timely manner, actively offer suggestions for the co-construction of home-school education, and make new contributions to the promotion of various work of the school.

Learn the Constitution & Prepare the Overall Planning

 

全体与会人员共同学习了《合肥市包河区协和双语学校家委会章程》，强调了家委会组织成立的规范性、明确成员标准、密切家校沟通等。同时也明确了家长委员会的职责边界，强调了家长委员会在家庭教育方面的重要作用和职责。

All the participants studied the Constitution of the PSG of SUIS Hefei together, which emphasised the normative nature of the establishment of the PSG, cleared criteria for membership, and close communication between home and school. The boundaries of the responsibilities of the PSG were also clarified, emphasising the important role and responsibilities of the PSG in family education.

小学部主任陈竹介绍了本学期学部重点工作，并就本学期家长们可以参与的活动做了介绍，也希望新一届家委会成员继续支持学校的工作，把各项活动办好。

Director Mr. Bamboor Chen of the Primary School Section introduced the key work of the primary school department this semester and made a presentation on the activities that parents can participate in this semester, and also hoped that the new PSG members could continue to support the work of the school and do a good job in the various activities.

在年级组和学部的推荐下，本届校级家委增加了两位新成员，校长喻霞为新家委们颁发聘书。一张聘书，承载的是信任，更是授予家委们的责任。家委们郑重接过聘书，接过手中的这份荣誉，这份责任。新一届校级家委会的成立，为新学年的工作注入新活力、新动力！

On the recommendation of the Grade Groups and the School Section, two new members were added to the current PSG, and the Principal, Ms. Wendy Yu, presented the appointment certificates to the new members. New PSG members accepted the certificates, which meant to take over the hands of this honor and this responsibility. The establishment of the new PSG injected new vitality and new impetus into the work of the new school year!

家委会主任王万祥先生作为家长代表发言，他对学校领导、各位委员的支持表示感谢，并表示作为学校家委会主任，将引领家委会这支重要队伍，全力倾情做好工作，将家校共育工作推向新高度。

The Director of the PSG, Mr. Wang Wanxiang spoke as a parent representative, expressed his gratitude to the school leadership and members for their support, and said that as the Director of the PSG of the school, he would lead the PSG, an important team, to do a good job with full dedication and commitment, and to take the work of home-school co-education to a new height.

最后校长喻霞致辞，她首先对我校校级家委会一直以来的工作给予充分肯定，并感谢家委们和全体家长对学校活动工作的支持、无私奉献和辛勤付出。喻校长表示，校级家委会委员是学校发展的好参谋，学校活动的好帮手，家校联结的好纽带；同时也是学校形象的宣传者，学校声誉的维护者，家长群体的好楷模。真诚希望全体委员，做好家校信息传递，传播正能量；充分发挥家长的资源优势，助力孩子健康成长，为成就每一个孩子而努力。

Finally,  Ms. Wendy Yu, delivered the speech, she has been fully affirmed the work of PSG, appreciating their support , selfless dedication and hard work for the PSG members and all the parents. Principle Ms. Wendy Yu said that school-level PSG members should be good counsellors for school development, good helpers for school activities, and good links between home and school; they should be also promoters of the school’s image, defenders of the school’s reputation, and good role models for the parents’ groups. It is sincerely hoped that all members of the PSG will do a good job of conveying information from home to school and spreading positive energy; give full play to the resource advantages of parents, help children grow healthily, and work hard for the achievement of each and every child.

 

相遇是最美好的开始，携手是最温暖的共育。本次家委会会议的顺利召开，不仅使家委会成员更加了解家校工作的方向和目标，也充分调动了大家参与学校发展的积极性。“委”以重任，“育”见美好，希望协和的家长们，能在与学校的双向奔赴中，共同遇见孩子们更加美好的未来！

Meeting is the best way to start, and joining hands is the warmest way to co-parenting. The successful convening of this PSG activity not only enabled the PSG members to have a better understanding of the direction and objectives of the home-school work, but also fully mobilised their enthusiasm to participate in the development of the school. We hope that SUIS Hefei’s parents, in a two-way run with the school, will meet a brighter future for our children together!
