The summer sun was scorching and the heat wave was felt in the air. However, even hotter than the weather was the anticipation of the new S7 teachers at SUIS HF as they looked forward to meeting the children.
在7月的最后一个周末，协和双语初中部新七年级组的老师们，穿梭在合肥城中，带着百分百的期待与热情，开启了家访之旅。
On the last weekend of July, the teachers of the new S7 team of SUIS HF Secondary School Section travelled through the city of Hefei and started their home visit journey with 100% expectation and enthusiasm.
每一家的开门声都是新的期待，每一次深情的交谈都是新的认识。
Every door opening is a new expectation, every deep conversation a new realisation.
我们遇见了不同的家庭，见到了性格多彩的孩子们。有的孩子面带微笑，有的孩子眼含羞涩，有的孩子心怀好奇，有的孩子言语流畅。他们都带着属于自己的梦想和期待，期待开学，期待新旅程。
We met different families and children with colourful personalities. Some children were smiling, some were shy, some were curious, and some were fluent in speech. They all had their own dreams and expectations, looking forward to the start of school and a new journey.
通过这次家访，我们不仅和孩子直接建立了沟通联系，也听见了家长们的声音，那些关于学习、生活、未来的期盼和忧虑。他们期待孩子可以在学校收获知识，同时也期待他们能学会独立、勇敢、善良。他们信任我们，把最宝贵的孩子交到我们手中，这份信任无比重磅。我们也定不会辜负家长们的这份信任与期待。
Through this home visit, we not only established direct communication with the children, but also heard the voices of the parents, their expectations and worries about learning, life and the future. They expect their children to gain knowledge in school, and at the same time they expect them to learn to be independent, brave and kind. They trust us with their most precious children, and this trust is very heavy. We will not let parents down.
每一户家庭都是一个小小的世界，他们的习惯、期待、信任、渴望，都构成了这个社会的多彩画卷。我们只是其中的一部分，而我们的责任，就是在这个画卷中，发现每一个孩子的光芒，引导他们成长为更好的自己。家访拉进了教师与家长的距离，在今后三年的成长路上，我们用爱护航，构建与家长沟通的桥梁；我们携爱前行，助力孩子成长。
Every family is a small world, and their habits, expectations, trust and aspirations make up the colourful picture of this community. We are just a part of it, and our responsibility is to discover the light of each child in this picture scroll and guide them to grow into a better version of themselves. The home visit has brought teachers and parents closer together. In the next three years of growth, we will use love to escort and build a bridge of communication with parents; we will carry love forward and help children grow.
