《礼记·曲礼上》:“人生十年曰幼，学。”

十岁，是人生中的第一个十年，

也是孩子生命中的第一个界碑；

十岁，洒满童真的阳光；

十岁，洋溢烂漫的欢笑；

十岁，包含着成长的欢欣雀跃；

十岁，迈开了少年筑梦的起点。

The Book of Rites – Qu Li Shang:

“Ten years of life is called young, learning.”

Ten years old is the first decade of life,

and the first boundary marker in a child’s life;

ten years old is full of childish sunshine;

ten years old is full of laughter;

ten years old contains the joyful leap of growth;

ten years old is the starting point of

a youngster’s dream.

为了让孩子们更好地理解成长的意义，懂得感恩与回报，适时立下人生志向，6月27日，小学部举行了一场以“拾级而上，筑梦成长”为主题的十岁成长礼活动。

In order to let the children better understand the meaning of growth, know how to be grateful and rewarding, and set their life aspirations at the right time, the Primary School Section held a 10th year growth ceremony on 27th June with the theme of “Building Dreams and Growing Up”.

“师”情“话”意  祝成长

Teachers’ Greetings

一棵棵小树长出第十圈年轮，一朵朵小花迎来第十个春天。在这个特殊的日子里，敬爱的喻霞校长为孩子们送上了最真挚的祝福，拉开了成长礼的帷幕。

A small tree grows its tenth ring of years and a small flower ushers in its tenth spring. On this special day, the beloved Principal Wendy Yu delivered her most sincere blessings to the children and opened the curtain on the growth ceremony.

她在致辞中说：“常怀感恩之心、协力共进、双语交流、身心健康、善于学习、全球胜任力等都是我们协和宝贝长大的样子。十岁，是人生中一个非常重要的里程碑，你们开始了由个位数进入十位数的年纪，它也意味着我们将告别懵懂，走向自律。长大带给我们的有快乐也有困惑。愿我们协和宝贝在我们合肥协和的温暖家园里都能长成自己该有的样子，成长为更好的、更优秀的样子！”

In her speech, she said, “Being grateful, working together, being bilingual, being physically and mentally healthy, being a good learner and being globally competent are what our SUIS HF students will look like as they grow up. Turning 10 is a very important milestone in life, as you begin to move from single digit to ten digit age, it also means that we will leave our ignorance and move towards self-discipline. Growing up brings us both joy and confusion. May all our SUIS HF students grow up to be what they should be in our warm home at SUIS HF, and grow up to be better and better!”

饱含深情的话语不仅肯定了孩子的成长，更是承载着对孩子们最美好的期许。

The heartfelt words not only acknowledge the children’s growth, but also carry the best hopes for them.

 

三年级班主任周老师和刘老师，也给孩子们带来了深情的祝愿，希望孩子们做一个正直、勇敢、善良的少年，都能向着明亮的未来努力奔跑。

The P3 class teachers, Ms. Zhou and Ms. Liu, also brought heartfelt wishes to the children, wishing them to be decent, brave and kind teenagers, all running hard towards a bright future.

花样年华 炫青春

Dazzling Youth

跳动的音符，是热爱生活的天籁；活力四射的舞蹈，是释放快乐的主角。童年不同样，运动也能show出别样风采。在“百灵鸟”的歌声里，四位男教师——Mr. Zhang, Mr. Rashed, Mr. Weng, Mr. Gim按捺不追逐青春的悦动，仿佛重回少年时代，在“妈妈的话”里尽情开怀，在快乐的夏天里点亮未来。音乐在跳动，青春在飞扬，看不一样的少年们嗨翻全场。

The music of the music is the music of the love of life; the dance of the energy is the protagonist of the release of joy. Childhood is not the same, but sport can also be shown in a different way. In the song of the “lark”, a group of teachers ——Mr. Zhang, Mr. Rashed, Mr. Weng, Mr. Gim could not stop chasing the joy of youth, as if they were teenagers again, enjoying themselves in the “words of their mothers”, in the happy summer The music was pulsating and youth was flying. Growth Ceremony

从呱呱坠地到咿呀学语，孩子的成长离不开爸爸妈妈的关爱。踏进校门，孩子便遇见了第二个“父母”。不管时光如何流转，唯有爱的深情不变。

From the time a child is born to the time he or she learns to speak, he or she grows up without the love and care of his or her parents. When a child enters a school, he or she meets a second “parent”. No matter how much time passes, only the deep love remains the same.

 

在孩子人生中第一个十年，爸爸妈妈和老师们也送上了对孩子们最殷切的祝福与期盼，一句最简单的“我爱你”，却让双方热泪盈眶。

In the first decade of their lives, the mothers, fathers and teachers also sent their best wishes and expectations to the children, with a simple “I love you” that brought tears to the eyes of both sides.

向阳花开盼未来

Hope For the Future

太阳的偏爱独属于向日葵，正像我们面前十岁的少年，蓬勃向上。明媚的颜色映照在孩子们充满稚气的脸庞，家长给孩子们送上花束的瞬间，孩子们仿佛充满了成长的能量。他们小心翼翼地拿出写给三年后的自己的信，满怀期待地投入时光邮箱。

The sun’s preference belonged exclusively to the sunflowers, just like the ten-year-olds before us, flourishing. The bright colours reflected on the children’s faces, and the moment their parents presented them with bouquets of flowers, the children seemed to be filled with the energy of growth. They carefully took out their letters to their future selves in three years’ time and put them into the time mailbox with great anticipation.

 

金色童年飘香之处，甜蜜的是缤纷人生。仪式感满满的蛋糕上场，生日蜡烛已点亮，小小少年双手合十许下愿望。小学部陈竹主任为孩子们切下美味蛋糕，全场欢唱生日歌，十岁礼礼成！

Where golden childhood smells, sweet is the colourful life. The birthday candles were lit and the youngsters made a wish with their hands together. Director Mr. Chen Zhu of the Primary School Section cut the delicious cake for the children, and the whole audience sang the birthday song to celebrate the 10th birthday!
