传统技艺是我国几千年文明的积淀，有着丰富的意蕴，深刻的内涵，是需要我们每个炎黄子孙去继承和发扬。恰逢春日，我校五年级受包河区青少年活动中心邀请，于3月24日来到包河区青少年活动中心的彩虹课堂，在中心工作人员的精心组织和安排下，体验了木艺、陶艺、铁艺、农艺四个项目的传统技艺课程。

Traditional arts and crafts are the accumulation of thousands of years of civilisation in China, and have a rich meaning and profound connotation that needs to be inherited and carried forward by every one of us, the children of Yanhuang. On the occasion of spring, P5 students of our school was invited by the Youth Activity Centre of Baohe District to the Rainbow Classroom of the Youth Activity Centre of Baohe District on 24 March. Under the careful organisation and arrangement of the centre’s staff, they experienced four traditional arts courses in wood art, pottery, iron art and agricultural art.

 

木艺工坊

Woodworking Workshop

在木艺工坊课程中，老师带领孩子们了解了灯的历史演变，而且着重了解了长信宫灯这一文化瑰宝的设计原理和艺术价值。

During the woodworking workshop, our children were guided through the history of lanterns, with a focus on the design principles and artistic value of the Changxin Palace Lantern, a cultural treasure.

接下来孩子们化身为一个个小木匠，体验了切割这一门中华传统技艺。伴随机器的轰隆声，一块块简单朴素的三合板，在孩子们的设计、切割和打磨以后，摇身一变，就成了栩栩如生的各种动物。

Our children were then transformed into little carpenters and experienced cutting, a traditional Chinese art. With the rumbling of machines, a simple piece of plywood was transformed into lifelike animals after being designed, cut and polished by the children.

 

多彩陶瓷

Colourful Ceramic Decoration Course

多彩陶瓷装饰课程中，老师耐心地给同学们介绍了我国的陶瓷文化和历史，拉胚成型三大步骤和泥塑成型技法，以及如何去制作一件陶艺作品和泥塑作品，让孩子们在沉浸的体验中了解历史，体验乐趣，增长知识。

In the colourful ceramic decoration course, the teacher patiently introduced the students to the culture and history of ceramics in China, the three major steps of drawing and moulding and the clay moulding techniques, as well as how to make a piece of pottery and clay moulding, allowing the children to learn about history, experience fun and increase their knowledge through an immersive experience.

瞧，在同学们灵巧的手中，一个个精雕细琢、耐心打磨的照相机、城堡、花瓶就做成了。

Look, in the dexterous hands of the students, a finely carved and patiently polished camera, castle and vase was made.

 

扎染课程

Tie-dyeing

扎染课程，这节少数民族的传统手工艺课程，以其独特的艺术魅力俘获了众多学生的心灵。在老师的指导演示下，同学们掌握了折叠、固定布料，巧妙地运用皮筋紧扎，最后将其浸泡在天然的靛蓝染料中。

Tie-dyeing, a traditional handicraft course for ethnic minorities, captured the hearts and minds of many students with its unique artistic charm. With the teacher’s guidance and demonstration, the students mastered folding and fixing the fabric, cleverly using leather straps to tighten it and finally dipping it in natural indigo dye.

经过几番操作，最终每位学生都创作出了一块充满巧思、独一无二的蓝色扎染手帕。

After a few hands-on exercises, each student eventually created a unique blue tie-dye handkerchief full of ingenuity.

 

铁艺工坊

Ironworking Workshop

在铁艺工坊课程中，老师风趣幽默地给孩子们介绍了发簪的历史和发簪的分类，通过作品的欣赏，在老师的示范和指导下，同学们化身艺人，敲敲打打、精益求精，以工匠之心制成了一件件精美的作品，课后同学们开心地展示着自己的创作。

During the ironworking workshop, the teacher introduced the history of hairpins and their classification to the children in a humorous manner. Through the appreciation of the works, and under the teacher’s demonstration and guidance, our students were transformed into artists, hammering and striving for perfection, making a beautiful piece of work with the heart of an artisan, and after the class our students happily displayed their creations.

 

传统技艺是中华民族的瑰宝，是中华民族的骄傲。包河区充分整合各种资源，利用艺体中心的优势，让孩子在学习传统技艺中，既能培养认知传统、尊重传统、继承传统、弘扬传统的思想观念，又能增强对中华优秀文化的认同感和自豪感。在生活中，我们每个人都应该为了传统技艺的弘扬与发展贡献出自己的力量，使其焕发出夺目的光芒。

Traditional arts and crafts are the treasures of the Chinese nation and the pride of the Chinese people. By fully integrating various resources and using the advantages of the arts and sports centre, Baohe District allows children to learn traditional skills, which not only cultivate the ideology of knowing, respecting, inheriting and promoting traditions, but also enhance their sense of identity and pride in the excellent Chinese culture. In our lives, we should all contribute to the promotion and development of traditional arts and crafts, so that they can shine brightly.
